Three Bandits announced as finalists for 2019-2020 League Awards

BROOKS, AB (February 11, 2020) – The Alberta Junior Hockey League named it’s 2019-2020 League Award finalists, and three Brooks Bandits were announced.

Forward Brayden Krieger was named a finalist for the Rookie of the Year Award (Dick White Trophy, presented by Canalta Hotels). Krieger is 1st in rookie scoring (32G, 53 A) in 52 games and is 4th in scoring amongst all players. The native of Elora, ON is in his 1st year with the Bandits.

Defenceman Tim Rego was named a finalist for the Outstanding Defenceman Award (W.G. Bill Scott Trophy, presented by Alberta Ford Dealers). He’s 2nd in scoring amongst AJHL defenceman (21G, 35 A) in 52 games, and 1st in goals. He’s 21st overall in scoring amongst all skaters. The native of Mansfield, MA is in his 1st year with the Bandits.

Goaltender Pierce Charleson was named a finalist for the Top Goaltender Award (Friends of the Alberta Junior Hockey League Trophy). He’s 1st in wins with 33, and 2nd in minutes played (2,589) this season, while tied for first in shutouts (3). The native of Aurora, ON is in his 2nd year with the Bandits.
