Three Bandits invited to World Junior A Challenge selection camp

BROOKS, AB (November 19, 2019) ? Three members of the Brooks Bandits have been invited to attend the upcoming Team Canada West selection camp for the upcoming World Junior A Challenge, it was announced today.

Forward Brayden Krieger (Elora, ON), defenceman Ethan Lund (Calgary, AB), and defenceman Corson Ceulemans (Beaumont, AB) were extended invitations.

Krieger, 18, is the highest-scoring rookie in the AJHL and ranks fifth among all players with 39 points (17 goals, 22 assists) in just 26 games in his first season of Junior A competition.

Lund, 18, was named to the league?s South All-Rookie team last season after his first year of play, and has so far recorded 12 points (2 goals, 10 assists) this season while dressing in all 26 of the team?s games.

Ceulemans, 16, just returned from competing for Team Canada Black at the annual World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Medicine Hat. In just 17 games so far this season, he has scored 13 points (2 goals, 11 assists).

The event brings together two Junior A teams from Canada (West and East) for players born in 2000 or earlier, who compete against each other and international entries from Russia, the United States, and the Czech Republic.

The 2019 World Junior A Challenge will be held in Dawson Creek, B.C., from December 7th ? 15th.
