With one home game and one away game the Bandits came out of this past weekend with only one point.
Friday night the Whitecourt Wolverines were in town for the only time this season and the Bandits lost 3-2 in OT. The Bandits played well, outshooting the Wolverines 30-16 yet we were tied at the end of 60 minutes of play and headed into overtime. Nothing was solved in OT so a shootout was needed. Whitecourt scored twice in the shootout while the only scorer for the Bandits was Shane Bear.
Point getters were Chase Clayton and Jared Cockrell with 1G-1A assist each and Shane Bear with 2A. Jesse Pereira earned the Game Star.
Saturday night Brooks headed to Camrose for the final meeting of the regular season between these two teams. It was once again a heated battle with the Bandits getting 11 power play opportunties and Camrose gettting 10. Both teams only capitalized once on the power play. The Kodiaks outshot the Bandits 40-27 and handed the Bandits a 4-1 loss. Brooks was held to only 6 shots in the third period.
Fresh off his three-game suspension, Austin Plevy got the lone Bandits goal on assists from Chase Clayton and Jared Cockrell. Cockrell would also earn the Player of the Game.
Bandits will be looking for a win this Wednesday when the Canmore Eagles are in town. Puck drop at 7:00pm!
