LLOYDMINSTER, SK (October 22, 2022) – Hunter Wallace and Dario Beljo each scored twice, and Ethan Barwick made 37 saves as the Brooks Bandits got back in the win column with a 7-2 victory over the Bobcats at the Centennial Civic Centre on Saturday.

The Bandits (13-1-2) wrapped up their North Division trip going for 3/6 on the powerplay, despite being outshot 39-33 by the Bobcats.

Forward Aiden Fink (Wisconsin) opened the scoring on the powerplay at 14:29 of the 1st, driving to the net from the left circle and beating Bobcats starter Freddie Halyk. The Bandits doubled their lead to 2-0 at 15:12, as Wallace (RPI) one-timed a Fink pass from the right circle on the powerplay. With 3:48 left in the period, forward Tyler Blocha (Northern Michigan) jumped on a rebound from an Aiden Celebrini (Boston University) point shot and scored from the right circle to make it 3-0. Shots were 20-9 Brooks in the period.

Brooks extended the lead to 4-0 at 3:59, as Wallace cleaned up a behind-the-net-pass from Aiden Fink, scoring shortside. Beljo (AIC) made it 5-0 at 6:54, tapping in a Fink pass. Beljo scores again less than two minutes later at 8:11, redirected a Sam Court (New Hampshire) blueline shot to make it 6-0.

Lloydminster got two back early in the 3rd, as Rylan Ringor picked the top corner of Barwick’s net to make it 6-1 at 2:39, and Ben Aucoin scored at 4:46. But with Brooks on the penalty kill, defenceman Dominick Campione forced a turnover at the centre line and scored on a breakaway shorthanded to make it 7-2 at 6:13, the final.

The Bandits next game is Tuesday, October 25th, when they travel to Calgary to face the Canucks. Game time is 7:00 pm, and can be heard live on Real Country 105.7 FM.
